Three auctions the last week in October are showing strength in the start of the farmland market in East Central Illinois this fall.
On Wednesday, October 27th, two tracts in Iroquois county sold.
Iroquois County - Stockland Township
Tract 1 - 80.44+/- acres - $11,900/acre
132.7 Productivity Index
$89.68/PI point
Tract 2 - 57.63+/- acres - $11,200/acre
132.2 Productivity Index
$84.72/PI point
Both of these sales are in line with the price brought by the Illinois Wesleyan Cole farm that sold nearby earlier this summer for $11,500 per acre or $90.62/ PI point.
On Thursday, October 28th, 53+/- acres in Humboldt Township, Coles County brought $15,500/acre. With a 138.8 Productivity Index, this property brought $111.67/PI point.
Then on Friday, October 29th, both tracts in a Jamaica Township, Vermilion County sale brought in the very strong price of $17,400/acre. With Productivity Indexes of 143.8 and 143.9 respectively, these sales garnered $121.00 and $120.92/PI point for the seller.
It's shaping up to be an exciting farm sale season this year!
